What's Lurking in Shorty's Gulch

Episode 8 tells the story of the Stout family and the horrific accident in the mine at Shorty's Gulch.  As with many Destination Mystery adventures, we go to the location with the intent of finding answers, but also find more questions.  Something is definitely lurking in Shorty's Gulch and it's more than the presence of the Stout family.

 

Buried Beneath the Floorboards

 On episode 7, we tell a disturbing story of three young teens who murder their father and bury him in the floor of an abandoned cabin in a ghost town.  The remains were dug up by a bear and discovered by a bottle collector 3 months later.  The teens were sentenced to prison for the murder of their father.  We also share the evidence we captured on our investigation and some of the history regarding this ghost town.

The Marshall House Investigation

         We got the opportunity to help the Marshall family with a spirit box session on the last day of January 2020. This beautiful family is living in a home that was built by Jon’s great grandfather in 1920. A member of the Marshall family has been living in the home since it was built. The current family has been living there for four and a half years and have experienced paranormal activity from the first day they moved in. Prior to moving into this house, the father Jon, has only had one paranormal experience. The family has experienced shadow people, full body apparitions, touching, pushing, objects being thrown, voices, and knocks. Although the family feels the majority of the activity may be due to his grandfather’s brother who died in the house at the age of 3, some of the activity is confusing. Another interesting observation, is that the mother Liz, had a near death experience right before the transition into their current residence.  A health scare caused Liz to be in a coma. Could the activity in the home be related to Liz’s near death experience? Could it be former members of the Marshall family who want to communicate?  

Near Death Experiences

On Episode 5 we have a discussion with Liz who shares her near death experience. It is an uplifting story about hope and love. Knowing what may happen to us when we pass to the other side, is a comforting feeling.
