Built in 1910, the legendary Silver Horseshoe Inn is a historical landmark in St. Anthony Idaho. St. Anthony was once referred to as the Little Chicago, because of its ties to the Chicago Mafia. The tunnels beneath the city were rumored to house a secret gambling operation and hideout for the mafia members. It also served bootleggers during prohibition. Destination Mystery Case File 42 - Lava Hot Springs Sanitorium/Inn
In the small town of Lava Hot Springs Idaho lies an old sanitorium turned into a hotel. The sanitorium was once used to treat World War II soldiers suffering from the aftermath of the war. They believed the hot springs offered supernatural healing properties. What they didn't realize was that the mineral baths also acted as a conductor for paranormal activity. The hot springs attracts thousands of visitors each year seeking its healing benefits. Many of the visitors end up getting more than they bargained for.
